Kriti Social Initiatives (Kriti) is an Indian Not for Profit organization (Public Charitable Trust) established in 2009 with a vision to alleviate poverty of the urban poor. Kriti works with women and children in the slums of Hyderabad to help them on the path towards economic independence and a better quality of life through improvement in the livelihoods of women and education for the children.

Project Pehchaan is one of Kriti’s key programs that works towards empowerment of women through financial inclusion and livelihood development. Kriti is forming Self-help groups or savings groups with women from marginalized communities in old city of Hyderabad. The women meet monthly and save a fixed amount. Over a period of time, they build savings assets in their name and start taking loans from the savings held with the group. The loans are used for family emergencies or for starting a business.

Currently Project Pehchaan has over 1000 members and we plan to expand the program to cover over 2000 women by March 2027. Over the next year we would like to create a formal institution like a Cooperative Bank to MACS where all the members would have ownership.

We are looking for an enthusiastic lady social work professional who would take on the challenge of working with the project team to achieve this goal. Capacity building and training of the beneficiaries is another key program objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the community field coordinators in field work and mobilization to ensure that the new group formation targets are achieved
  • Conduct audits of the SHG minutes and MIS entries every month as per the audit plan and give feedback to project manager and the community field coordinators
  • Work with Project Manager to develop the training / capacity building plan for the groups and conduct training during group meetings and cluster meetings
  • Promote entrepreneurship development training amongst the members – both in craft based and non craft based businesses.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the project – both quantitative showing performance in savings, loans issued and loan repayment and also qualitative for donors
  • Capture case studies, assist in proposal writing and other documentation activities.

    • Skills/qualification required

    • Masters in Social work, womens studies or related field from a reputed institute
    • Two years work experience in a program related to financial inclusion, capacity building of women or livelihood promotion
    • Fluency in Hindi / Urdu and English
    • Strong writing and communication skills

Computer Trainer

Job title: Computer Trainer at Government Schools

Kriti has been working to improve Computer Literacy Skills for students in Government High Schools since 2020.

Currently, we are implementing the program in close to 15 Government High Schools in and around Hyderabad. A graded curriculum was developed encompassing various skills including basic computer literacy, logical thinking and basic programming, creativity and AI. This program currently reaches 8000 beneficiaries each year.

We are searching for enthusiastic computer trainers to promote computer literacy amongst the youth. Computer teachers should enable the children to become well versed in computer skills and ensure that equipment remains in excellent working condition.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing the computer lab in a government high school or independent location
  • Conduct classroom training sessions as per the training content provided.
  • Should have knowledge of computer operation and networking. Also, able to resolve technical issues in the lab and in case of major problems, able to get the issue resolved by an external technical expert after informing the management.
  • Ability to manage children in classroom and provide individualized instruction to students by promoting interactive learning.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience.
  • Maintain data on students who are attending sessions and number of sessions done every day. Conduct tests for the students to understand their level of learning
  • Actively assist in building curriculum for the various courses.

Skills needed :

  • Creative design and ability to standardise design concepts or rules for the organisation
  • Good working knowledge of photography and videography to develop inhouse content
  • Analytics skills to understand our KPIs across sales and marketing channels
  • Goal orientation and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of SEO, google ads, facebook ads, and building social media outreach

Qualifications :

  • Degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • Prior experience as a computer teacher.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Telugu or Hindi. Spoken Hindi is required for all jobs.

Salary: 18,000 - 25,000 per month depending on experience
