Kriti is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes skills training and livelihoods for women and education of children. We have been working in Hyderabad slums since 2009. Kriti has trained over 700 women in tailoring, hand embroidery and paper bag making since 2015. In the last year alone, Kriti has trained 300 women through four vocational training centers in the Tolichowki area.
We are now starting a new project, Project Pehchaan, through which we will support women who do home based work such as lac bangle making, karchop embroidery, tailoring, garlic peeling and other such economic activities. Kriti plans interventions like SHG formation of these women, getting their artisan cards, government program linkages, market linkages and capacity building of artisans. This project will be carried out in the old city area.
A full time filed coordinator is required for managing the field activities. They will have the following responsibilities:
Identification of a suitable place for field office and project
Mobilisation of women for training:
Identification/formation of SHGs and linkage to banks
Organizing SHG meetings :
Organizing capacity building trainings/workshop
Coordination of training centres (Tailoring training centres)
(Other than project pehchaan, there will be 3 more training centres
Facilitation for making of artisan cards/market linkage

Kriti has number of centers where training on skills such as tailoring and hand embroidery is given to women. We aim to expand these centers and establish proper training procedures so that training can be followed by jobs creation and job placements.
Kriti plans to train over 400 women in the areas of tailoring, hand embroidery and machine embroidery in the next year and ensure atleast 70% of the trained women are involved in income generation activities. This will be done through a combination of placement in other industries and direct wage generation by Kriti through manufacture and sale of products.

The Product Manager will work on the development of technology solutions to help scale up social enterprises on a global scale by improving their business operations. This will entail understanding the needs and mapping into effective solutions.
